At Bettercup, Rachel keeps everything running smoothly, from optimising operations to building strong relationships with customers and partners, she ensures our systems and collaborations are as impactful as our mission. Her focus on efficiency and innovation helps Bettercup grow while staying true to its sustainable values.

Rachel’s dream event? A forest fiesta with local DJs, great food, and sunshine—an unforgettable mix of fun and connection.

Meet Danzo, our amazing Customer Coordinator and probably the first person you’ll chat with when you reach out to Bettercup.

Danzo is a pro at getting everything organised and making sure our customers have a seamless experience from start to finish.

With a background in event management and executive support, Danzo brings an incredible ability to juggle logistics and keep things running smoothly. Outside of Bettercup, you’ll find her running her own sustainable apparel brand or hitting up local markets during summer.

Her dream event? A bush doof with her closest friends, dancing non-stop, sampling every food truck, and soaking up epic sunsets.

Brendan

Warehouse Operations Manager

Say hi to Brendan, our logistics mastermind and the backbone of Bettercup’s VIC washing hub!

Brendan ensures every reusable item gets to its destination on time, cleaned, and ready to shine. His expertise in systems and operations keeps things running smoothly, ensuring Bettercup stays on track behind the scenes.

Drawing from his experience managing major construction projects, Brendan is no stranger to problem-solving under pressure—an invaluable skill when managing the tight timelines of events and manufacturing. A stickler for detail, he’s our go-to guy for maintaining the exceptional quality and customer service that bettercup is known for.

His dream event? A relaxed festival with funky tunes, delicious eats, and a board game or two for some late-night fun.

Meet Andrea, our Marketing Coordinator.

Andrea's interests span from sustainability and creativity to business and social advocacy, which has led her to dip a toe into a variety of work, including ecommerce management, freelance creative projects, environmental research, and now marketing. Despite being early in her career, Andrea brings an enthusiastic and 'will give anything a go approach' to everything she does. She is deeply committed to making the world a better place, not just for humans but for our animal friends as well which is why she decided to be part of the Bettercup team!

When she’s not championing green causes, you’ll find Andrea tucked away in a bookstore, getting lost in the pages of her latest read. Andrea’s dream hangout? A laid-back evening under the stars, vibing to pop, jazz, and country blues with her besties, sipping on some delicious beverages.

our story.

Founded by two friends who became increasingly conscious of the economic, social and environmental impacts of what they consume.

Christie and Sam met over 17 years ago on a dance floor and have been friends ever since; bonding over things such as op-shopping, escape room challenges and cruelty-free beauty products.

As regular event and festival goers, the large volumes of unnecessary waste didn’t go unnoticed, or the fact that certain types of waste such as single-use cups could realistically be preventable. This led to the thought, “There must be a better way!” and after researching alternatives and designing the necessary systems to support reuse, the decision was made to create bettercup.

Lovers of all things music, hospitality and entertainment related, we are united in our belief that there is an opportunity to create positive environmental change to events and venues in a way that educates a diverse range of audiences about sustainable behaviour and improves the event experience for organisers and attendees alike.
